if Clemson is not the #1 team tomorrow night. Not sure we have the SOS to carry us wire to wire like last year, but for now we have SOS to be #1.
1 Clemson
2 Bama
3 Mich
4 Wash
Only thing I'm not sure if is maybe flipping Wash and UM. Both have similar road wins iver quality opponent, but I think they'll give UM the nod here.

Just think 9 weeks into the season and Michigan has left the state once to play Rutgers and leave only 3 times overall.

Agreed. We have more quality wins versus ranked opponents than Bama. Our SOS is better. There is another thread on this board with the nterview from the two reporters making a convincing arguement for CU #1.

I hope you right. I'd rather have Wash in first round than Bama or Michigan but I just want them to seal the deal this year!!! Heck I'll be happy just to see them in playoffs again!!!

Unfortunately, I'll be expecting your tu...
No way the cfp will NOT put bama at #1. Even though the sec has been overall bad this year, Alabama has still been Alabama, and all the talking heads [ie. smart people 'who know' more about football than us stupid, homer fans] 'know' Alabama IS the sec right now.
In the meantime, after watching our Tigers in Death Valley Saturday afternoon, THIS Tiger will be in front of the 65" Saturday night pulling for some other tigers playing in Tiger Stadium down in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

I would put us at 2. I think you should stay the Champ until someone beats you and Alabama still holds the thrown. looks about right other than that. Michigan is overrated!!

Don't see how Clemson could jump Alabama. Too many close wins compared to them. Sure, our schedule may be tougher on paper but Alabama is Alabama.

Our closing stretch will be a bit sullied in comparison to Bama and Michigan, but right now we've had the toughest row to hoe.
No. 1 now, but slipping as (and if) Bama plays out the string is entirely plausible.

I'm not surprised at all that we are #2 behind Bama, and I actually think that is exactly where we belong. I think Michigan at #3 is exactly right too. The fourth spot could be legitimately argued in favor of A&M, Washington, or Ohio State, but if all Washington wins out they will be 4th in final poll BC of PAC-12 championship.
