I am not sure I believe the source anyway, but it could all be correct. I am surprised Rachae Maddow is doing so well. I dont dislike her, because I agree with her politically generally, but her show gets tiresome. I feel like I am getting lectured by her.

The only difference is he was right about collusion between Trump and Russia. He goes off on the deep end sometimes but his guest are killers bearing what has turned out to be true.

I'm definitely a conservative, and I can't handle Hannity or Tucker. If news shows were sports, Hannity would be competitive cornhole.
The bigger issue is that all the shows at the top of the charts have clear ideological leanings and pandering. Not exactly the fodder we need to convince media heads to return to "just the facts"--they're giving us exactly what we ask for---we just bich about it in polite company.
I'd love to see BBC news or the like cracking the top 5.

I love BBC. BBC, Frontline, and VICE are my go to tv sources when possible. I don't watch those nightime shows anymore...Hannity, Maddow, Hardball, etc.

Seems like a combination of people
1) Being lazier---it's easier to have an opinion handed to you.
2) Being so predisposed to confirmation bias that the media has now monetized it.
3) Being increasingly tribalistic over the past 30-40 years---there's gotta be a bogeyman somewhere, somehow keeping you from the milk and honey, and it's that SOB over there who votes differently from you.

I will watch it in the morning to start my day at times just to see if there was a terrorist attack, a war, if a right wing nut shot some place up, etc. That takes 20 minutes and then I try to avoid the news. I am all sports talk.

time they started reporting on the collusion story. No one on their network proved collusion and no one offered evidence though they all claim it as fact. Many guest said they had seen irrefutable proof of collusion.
I think their viewership took it hard that CNN had lied to them for nearly two years. The obstruction story has brought many of their views back into the fold but many are of a mind that 'a burnt hen stays away from the fire.'-CT88's Fanniemama, RIP old girl.

The President is Donald Trump. Whether he's conservative, or liberal, or fascist, or communist, or Christian, or pagan, or whatever, is a subjective matter that depends on how an individual defines those words.
These labels are constantly used, in my opinion, in lieu of critical thinking. It's just easier to throw someone in a box as racist, or socialist, than to actually think about the person in a nuanced way.

CNN has been making mistakes for years, from their Boston bombing sloppy reporting to taking themselves too seriously on satellite feeds across the parking lot to giving a stage to people who didn't deserve it (Morgan Spurlock? Go #### yourself). They're partly to blame for the rise of this imbecile president, and as much as I despise the man, even I can recognize that folks like Don Lemon have eschewed the role of journalist to become a political hack.
CNN is important for major breaking news, but after that, they're scrambling to fill the 24-hour void. And then they just repeat themselves over and over.
Fox has and always will be GOP right-wing propaganda and is not worthy of being taken seriously on any format.
And does anyone even watch MSNBC?

Lot of people seem to think that Murdoch’s decidedly non-righty son is getting more involved and pulling the reins in a different direction. Seems to be a lot more incidences lately of Fox personalities feeling empowered to take stances counter to the expected usual marching orders.
If nothing else, it’ll be popcorn worthy.

Not that I have a desire to see the company and their employees be unsuccessful, but I hope an increasing number of Americans "wise up" to the tactics of these cable "news" networks and turn the channel to such an extent, that they change their format to be more straight news.
