This used to be a place where you could talk clemson topics. Now half or more of the posts in here are people trying to be funny. FM and Smowtosn are Amy big these people I’m referring to. In my opinion those types belong in the lounge.
I wish mods would enforce this.

No longer be able to do his usual posts. I do think people were a little hard on tigerbry and tiger woods. So what if they got their info from pay accounts. That’s still more than I have and they never said that they knew everything. Anyone who says that is a liar. Following Gary’s recruitment is a great example I’m not sure he knew what he was going to announce when he was up there. And Jackson Carman either was amazing at keeping close to chest or he made the decision very late in the game. No recruiting guru would have known. Only him and maybe closest to him knew.

I agree that even if they did get a lot of info from pay sites, they did a great job of summarizing and also added value adds of their own opinion to put things in context. And the Rev is a TNet original and treasure.
Most poasters just repost tweets and articles from the major sites.
Hood brings football value as well as the posters you mention.
As far as the funny goes, that IS (other than Hood and the few wise posters) the reason I continue to subscribe and support this site. Its not because of the poasts and repoasts of pretty Crystal Ball projections. If I care about balls that much I can view them directly.

So many names from the old days, I didn't post for the first 10ish years I was here under my original user, WandLTiger, and then later deadsolidperphect[still exists], which is the same log in I used while on ESPN.
I've mentioned it many times, the number of "outsiders", outsiders intent on creating a stir, drives much of this as it's a natural response from the community to tend the fences so to speak and then there's good Clemson people trying to have fun, while leaving the oft unfun world behind, if only for awhile.
It's near impossible for Crump & B-Meist, unless they were here 24/7 and they are not, to police the forums of the interlopers. There's no telling how many fan bases are represented, but you can be sure coots & other ne're-do-wells make up a good bit.
And really, it's a sports' board, sports have games & games were meant to be fun.

Had a rough go of it lately. Was in a brutal accident and was in the hospital for a while. Proud to say I'm home now but it will be quite some time before I can walk or work again so it's been hard.
Once the 2019 class gets ramped up I'll be more active. I've made a ton of progress on the the big board for next year so I'll get that out there soon. (Fair warning- it's LONG. Like TLDR length) You'll find that the smaller, local papers give the best and most thorough interviews like the Times Democrat, Island Packet, Bradenton Herald, Fulton County News and outlets like that. Those writers get wonderful detailed interviews with prospects so there's no use in the pay sites.

unfounded, unfair, and disappointing. Unfortunately, that didn’t stop you.
I’ve never understood why some folks feel the need to call out other folks for having a little fun. I’ve never called you out for doing whatever it is you do. Why? Because I don’t care. I think there’s room for all kinds here, and I hope everyone can enjoy tnet in their own way, without judgement from others. If you don’t, that’s ok too. And as so many posters have already mentioned, donate and use the ignore feature. Or, just donate. Very few things are more offputting than someone who complains about a privilege they are receiving for free.
The good news for me is, I usually don’t hold on to things like this, and will probably have forgotten your post in a week or two.
