If you had the choice of one current college football player

From another program to add to Clemson's team this season to increase our National Title odds, who would it be? The only stipulation is that you can't pick anybody who has ever stolen crab legs from Publix.

Can we pick cheerleaders?

If so, Heather Mason for sure.

Nobody, I like our Tigers and the players who have

committed to our program.

What if this player chose to commit to the program...

Hypothetically, of course.

No, it's too late for that***

Which player would you choose, with the stipulation

That the player, hypothetically, signed with Clemson out of high school, committed to Clemson as a sophomore in high school, and had Woody Dantzler posters on his wall as a child?

But it is***

Well, you removed the most obvious choice.

Arguably the best player available, but also the best player from the team who is the biggest obstacle to Clemson winning a national title.

I like Cole, but I think Marcus Mariota would be awesome in

our offense.

So either him or Derrick Henry RB from BAMA.

I agree, I think Cole is more than capable of running Chad's offense. But seeing someone like Mariota or Bryce Petty from Baylor at QB for Clemson would be lethal.

But if I could have 1 pick, it would be to see Melvin Gordon from WIS play RB here and pound the ball out for 6 YPC.

2019 student level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg

Would the WIS RB come with their OL in a package deal?

Unfortunately, probably Gurley on offense. Maybe Cam Erving from FSU to shore up the OT position.

Cam Newton? Who?

Todd Gurley would be my recommendation as sadly you just lost a great RB for the season.

Bro do you even we too deep?

Wasn't trying to pick a fight.

Just saying we too deep, that's all.

Losing Brooks sucks, but we are well-stocked at that position, so hopefully we'll have good production despite the injury.

Star offensive tackles from Iowa and Texas A&M, respectively. With one of them manning one tackle spot and Battle handling the other, I'd feel very confident of our line's ability to keep Stoudt upright.

Him and Alexander in the secondary to go with Clemson's front seven.

I was thinking Ronald Darby, but I think we have experience and athleticism at corner. Need an experienced QB for Morris's system until Watson is ready to lead it

I'd prefer the shutdown corner for the Ducks. He is

Diggs is beast. Have no idea how a guy like that winds up at Maryland.

Re: If you had the choice of one current college football player

Good question. I would think you would need to pick someone from UGA, SC, or FSU. That way you get more traction from your pick.

Don't know his name, but that's who i'd pick if I had to

or Gurley

Re: whoever the projected#1 offensive lineman in this year draft

Posted: Aug 20, 2014 6:26 PM

The FSU tackle I mentioned has a chance to be a top 10 guy, but I think he may still be considered a bit raw despite all his accolades since he played DT for a bit in his early years at FSU.

Didn't read the second part...wondering why no one picked

Him. Gotta say Gurley

Re: If you had the choice of one current college football player

Myles Jack UCLA I think improves our actual odds the most.
Mariota would improve our Vegas odds the most.
