Maine was awesome

I'm fuggin tired from the redeye last night and I haven't gotten any pics off my camera. I'll prob get to all that over the weekend.
Flew into Pahtland, drove up to Camden and spent a few days there, saw Baah Hahbah and Acadia. Stopped in Bath twice (on the way to and from Camden) to see the new Destroyer and go through the maritime museum. Ate tons of ciao-da and lobstah. Visited a few lighthouses and had pretty good weather most of the time. Took a boat tour and helped pull up lobstah traps, threw a few back, baited the trap and tossed it back in the wata.
At the end of the boat tour, we were all offered free lobstah that was just caught and directed to a restaurant across the street from the docks that would steam it for a dalla.
Falls leaves were at their peak colors. Acadia was gorgeous and thunder-hole was so impressive I went back there over and over every night at our Airbnb.
10/10 vacation, would do again but I'd go a week earlier next year as 75% of the restaurants were closed for the season.

I didn't find it to be any better, fresher, tastier than that you find in Louisville.
The chowders on the other hand, thats the ticket. And one meal I had haddock stuffed with crab in a cream sauce. I got weird looks when I was licking the plate but I told them Im from the south so I got a pass.

POint for the cool trip, but why would you redeye...from Maine? Its in the same timezone, so that really isnt even an option. Redeye come out of CA. OR, WA, NV areas

We picked a late flight so we could hang around Portland. Cool town. Id say its like a small version of Asheville and Charleston put together.

So you left at 8pm and got home at 12am? Or you say in an airport all night? Sorry trying to understand here with a feeble mind.
Redeye is typically 8/9/10pm ish to 5:30am/6am coming West to East
