And Kaepernak was kneeling because he lives in a society in which black people, even at Normandy, were fighting, and while in Europe, had access as equals to society, but who then came home and found out that Jim Crowe was still the law of the land almost everywhere. And remarkably, 70 years later, black people still are not safe in any encounter with law enforcement. So yeah, if Kaepernack wants to kneel to protest that state of affairs, it's something that's worth kneeling about.

Thoughts on Kaepernick. The NFL is a business. Although everyone has a right to their own opinion, whether they are right, wrong or indifferent, NFL is a business. When you make incendiary remarks about the US, kneel for the National Anthem, wear socks bashing cops and speak of Fidel Castro as a "folk-hero", rather than a tyrant and murderer (which he was), you are going to #### off the majority of NFL fans. As a business owner, would you hire a guy that you know is going to #### off 3/4 of your customers? No one would. This guy is a pariah in the NFL. He's done. Maybe he can get a job at MSNBC or CNN, but the NFL is done. He's only got himself to blame. There's a time and place for everything.
