Shoulda stopped at about 50.

About 80% of my top 50 are early DLR-era songs, tho I like Sammy better overall. Roth was a studio genius, but suuuuuucked in concert, mostly a drunken stooge forgetting the words. Sammy was incredible live, plus he could play guitar. Saw 'em both live at their "peak", no comparison.

Imma stop at a personal Top 5, for the sake of brevity:

5. Aint Talking Bout Love - the one that reeled me in being a VH fan.

4. Poundcake - the drill intro used to be my ringtone.

3. Somebody Get Me a Doctor - VHII is probably my overall favorite album, just edging out VHI.

2. On Fire - Dave's primal scream midway into this song is maybe the best ever recorded.

1. Judgement Day - The perfect VH song in my mind. Heavy as hailll. Eddie blows my mind sometimes.
