Why doesn't Brownell only recruit shooting guards ?

YOU USUALLY MISS QUITE A LOT. VPI PACKED THEIR DEFENSE IN AND WE COULD NOT MAKE ANY SHOTS IN THE 2ND HALF SO THEY STAYED PACKED IN THAT ZONE. FACT IS, WE GOT TO SHOOT BETTER. WE GOT SOME YOUNG GUYS THAT CAN SHOOT BUT DIDNT DO IT LAST NIGHT. GOT TO HIT OUR FT'S ALSO WHICH HAS NOT BEEN A PROBLEM THE LAST FEW YEARS. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE A WORK IN PROGRESS TILL WE GET BAHRE AND TRAPP BACK. AND HOPEFULLY HONOR WILL GET CLEARED.

He should be gone by now. Just working down the buy-out, IMO. And there was very little effort to work the ball inside. Outside shots were taken after two passes on many 2nd half possessions.

We did, and we missed several point blank shots around the basket. But those opportunities were few and far between because VT’s strategy was to prevent us getting looks in the paint, and instead force us to shoot.
