ACC- 3a
Pac 12- 3a
Big Ten- 2a
Big East- 2a

I don't wanna hear, "how can you put the big east lower considering the orange bowl loss..." one game does not speak for a whole team let alone a whole conference

Big 10>ACC, pretty obvious. Big 12>ACC, incredibly obvious. ACC>Big East, with WVU gone, Cincy, Pitt, and Lville are the only teams left that could potentially compete in any of the other Big 6 conferences year to year, and replacing those 3 with SDSt, BSU, (insert random West Coast team from WAC or MWC), (insert random CUSA team in Florida), will not work out long term, so the ACC is certainly better. The Pac-12 is only better at the top half, the ACC has a more consistent group of teams, in my opinion. However, Oregon, USC, and Stanford could compete with anyone, so they get the edge over the ACC as well.

oregon, usc, and every now and then stanford can compete with auburn, alabama and lsu, also. does that put them ahead of the sec? you stated the "rest of the conference" in your post, shouldn't you also include that in your analysis of every conf.? the sec is as top heavy as any, it's #'s 4-10,11,12,14,etc. that you have to look at to gauge a conf.

Who says the SEC is AAAA

Jun 16, 2012, 6:40 PM [ in reply to Re: If the SEC is AAAA ]

Don't buy into the brand-washing that's going on!

It's a reason that writers are 'surprised' in 2012 when we get the #1 vs. 2008 when we did the same thing with Bowers.

Complain all you want about 9 game schedules, etc. but Clemson, FSU, VT are all viable for national championships.

Then ACC is AAAA?

Don't we all agree that FSU is always a pre-season national contender, only to way underachieve in recent years? Don't we all agree that Beamer is past his prime? I'm not sure what you mean by "viable". But I think that both Fisher and Beamer have some proving to do.

BCS qualifiers

To compare the conferences with a 1-10 scale I'd start with the SEC as 10, place the pac, B1G at 9.96, Big 12 at 9.955 and ACC at 9.0.

What's the point?
