Care to get giddy, just for a moment?

Let's open by assuming Clemson beats Bama and the Wuffies to go 16-0.
Here are some showdowns involving teams ahead of us:
5. Uconn at W. Virginia 7. Texas at Arkansas 8. Michigan St. vs. Ohio St. and Kansas 9 Gtown at Notre Dame
If those break our way, we could be 8th facing Wake. And if Wake tops UNC at the Joel, they'd be No. 2.
Got your tickets yet?

If Wake beats UNC and then we beat Wake, it's feasible we'd go into the Dean Dome as the higher ranked team. I wonder if that's ever happened?

That could be true Rev. I would say that if he had a blood vessel blockage to the brain it would definately be 'blue blood'. Assuming of course, he has a brain!

if we go into the Dean Dome 17-0 and come out 18-0, we'd have set a new record for consecutive opening wins (IIRC) AND exorcised a nationally known demon...longest losing streak at an opponents venue.

Which I will be -- on national TV -- if that happens.
I'll be the guy with the snake being dragged away by Chapel Hill's finest for dancing on the big blue foot.

Played them on Super Bowl Sunday right after we lost the famous game to Wake Forest. UNC had lost three in a row in the ACC. We may have even been favored...

a 67-65 loss against a terrible Wake team that went a long way in derailing our NCAA Tournament hopes.

The first game with WF is not at Joel .... thank goodness. But the last regular season game is. That is scary but by then who knows what will happen.

I can only hope? I really want to win the NC State game this Saturday? Being 2-0 in the ACC would be a big boost to our teams confidence, which has to be overflowing at this moment.
