If it is true what Packman says and the committee chucks

Nov 12, 2019, 10:06 AM

the previous week's ranking and starts from scratch this week, they may drop UGA a slot or two for their SC loss after SCAR's performance last week. We are talking about a loss AT HOME to a 4-6 team whose other 3 wins were Vandy (2-7, 1-5), Kentucky (4-5, 2-5) and Charleston Southern? A team who scored 15 points and managed 21 rushing yards on 28 attempts against an App State team who gave up 275 yards rushing to Georgia SOUTHERN?

That is the committee's claim.

However, I'm not sure how someone removes something from their brain without pledging allegiance to the coots first.

They are good at removing things that actually happened from their memories.

Agree 100%. Georgia can not get a pass for losing to a terrible Scar at home.

paying players, a one loss PAC team will be in the final 4 rankings.

Also a one loss Big 12 team will be in over a second SEC team.

The NCAA will attempt to include as many conferences as possible to promote solidarity for the forthcoming war.

The NCAA has no say in the CFP.

I agree with you guys. There are good loses and bad losses. There is no denying how poor the loss at home was for the bulldogs to the chickens. No team deserving of national ranking can lose to a team like that.

One predictable thing about the committee ..... They are unpredictable,

There is nothing about this post that is remotely true -

Nov 12, 2019, 10:26 AM [ in reply to With the pending legal challenges and rule changes regarding ]

because the foundational clause of "pending legal challenges and rule changes" has NOTHING to do with the CFP selection process.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

The NCAA has nothing to do with it...

Nov 12, 2019, 10:26 AM [ in reply to With the pending legal challenges and rule changes regarding ]

While the NCAA recognizes the decisions made by the BCS and now the CFP Committee, the NCAA does not organize or award an official national championship for FBS football.

The CFP is effectively owned and controlled by the ten FBS conferences (125 member institutions) and Notre Dame.

I would suggest commonality between the organizations

That's a darn good point. If they and the NCAA are of one

They already said it doesnt matter making UGA the highest

Nov 12, 2019, 11:11 AM

1 loss team last week. UGA has 2 Top 15 wins (15)Notre Dame and (10)Florida. Neither Utah, Oregon, Oklahoma, and now Alabama have a single win vs a ranked team all year. Comparing losses of 1 loss teams is a metric is a metric that the CFP uses, but its on down the list (ex: if both teams have 2 top 20 wins, if both teams have a good SOS, and if both teams are Conference Champions, then they move down to comparing the losses)
