Clemson's Nightmare

Clemson's Nightmare

For a Clemson football player, no one game can bring back more bad memories than what happened in last year’s 28-24 loss to GT in Death Valley. Full Story »

I don't ever want to see that debacle again, thank you. :(***

Flaps? We don't need no stinkin' flaps, let it roll in hard and fast!

after that game I haven't been the same to watch games with

I get so uptight during any game no matter what the score..........To tell you how big of a scar that GT game of 2004 left.........I had a pulse rate of about 97 during the last until about 5 minutes left in the NCST game THIS year (my fiance took my pulse). I started feeling hot and dizzy......especially after CHANSI missed the ball and it squirted into the NCST defenses hands........That GT game will always be with me. And NO WIN is secure until the clock ticks to 0:00 and there's no flags on the play!!!!!!

I am with you 100%

to be honest, I've never been comfortable with a CU lead. FSU 03, UT 04, even USC 03... 63-17 and I didn't feel comfortable till the 4th quarter. We were up 21-0 at the half and I was worried against state.

I told my fiance that I will probably die in death valley (when i get to about 65+ years old) at a game that puts too much stress on me............I was just kidding, but honestly....I wouldn't be surprised. It's amazing how much clemson football can control my emotions.

with no other sport

can you go from praying to cussing someone out and sincerely wishing bodily harm on them within a matter of seconds. I love football and the trap of it that ensnares us wholly.

that I regret saying about a number of different coaches, players, coordinators.....(names not to be mentioned). It was in the heat of the moment and obviously didn't mean what I said.

Let's hope Tye Hill doesn't see the "squeal" to GT04***

spell check or have someone proofread articles. Some probably haven't even been to journalism school down in coot city, or maybe they have. Hmmmm.

Granted spell check wouldn't have caught that, but someone merely reading the article would. I am amazed at how many typos are in the articles I read on this site. That being said, I they are better than articles on any other Clemson sports site.

“The best moment was on draft day when (N.C. State’s Mario Williams, Manny Lawson and John McCargo) all got picked in the first round,” said Dustin Fry. “That was kind of nice knowing we ran for 254 yards against three first-round defensive linemen.”

Ive never seen a crowd just stand there in awe

wondering what the #### just happend like we did after that game.

Our worst nightmare is having Ron Cherry in charge. He

Posted: Oct 26, 2005 6:08 AM

single-handedly gave the game to Tech on 04.

I dislike Cherry more than anyone but that wasn't his fault****

Posted: Oct 26, 2005 6:53 AM

JDH...correct me if I am wrong here.....

Posted: Oct 26, 2005 7:13 AM

but did Ron Cherry not officiate the 2003 UVA and 2004 Miami games for us? He did a good enough job there.

Losing to GT last year was NO fault of the officials.

Screw Oil, burn Lungers

He did...not going to admit he did a good job though..lol*****

You must not have been there. His crew managed the

Posted: Oct 26, 2005 7:37 AM

clock so well, it gave tech a full extra minute for their last drive. On one long scramble and pass play only ONE second went off the clock. Later they stopped the clock twice for unnecessary measurements - it goes on.

Our staff operates the clock******

The officials run the clock. That's only been going on for

Posted: Oct 26, 2005 7:41 AM

several decades now.

You're sorely wrong..the refs fix errors, they don't operate***

Posted: Oct 26, 2005 7:52 AM

you are incorrect***

Screw Oil, burn Lungers

You are bopth wrong and don't know it - but it doesn['t

Posted: Oct 26, 2005 9:20 AM

change the outcome of games gone by. We were robbed several times in that game.

Good lord******

If a Clemson team has had a game in one of the major

Posted: Oct 26, 2005 8:05 AM

sports (football, basketball, or baseball) in the last 15 years, I assure you that CLEMSON96JDH has been there, so try another argument. However, no need to try to argue this one, because that loss was completely our fault, and there is a Clemson staff man that runs the clock.

Sorry, but you are wrong. We were robbed and everybody who

Posted: Oct 26, 2005 9:22 AM

was there saw it. Read below. And also check out the video way later on this board. Oh,well.

Cherry didn't screw up the snap or let CJ catch a TD*****

Posted: Oct 26, 2005 9:40 AM

I saw the game, and the commentators both said

Posted: Oct 26, 2005 10:48 AM

that CW cut his run short so that he wouldn't get the 1st down. In the events that followed, it turned out to be a bad play. I am going to be sick all over again if this goes on ....

We were all screaming about the one second that ticked off

the clock on that play. Ron Cherry does not like Clemson. You are correct about stopping the clock for unnecessary measurements, too.

Let's all hope his crew doesn't officiate this weekend.
