If Trump pulls off this N Korea thing, does he get reelected

Apr 20, 2018, 9:06 AM

I think the odds are quite slim that Kim deNukes but if he does, I thats got to be worth some serious political points, even Democrats would appreciate that right?

He gets reelected either way, IF the economy doesn't nosedive.

Nah.

Apr 20, 2018, 9:20 AM

A few reasons why:
1. It'll be old news by 2020. Our population has a short memory.
2. He's going to get some serious contention from his fellow GOP in 2020.
3. People care the most about the economy. Let's see what it's doing in 2020 and how much Trump had to do with it.

I disagree. He's going to win anyways

Apr 20, 2018, 9:22 AM

unless we hit a recession.

But if he pulls off NK SK peace, not only does he get reelected, but I vote for this guy to get the Nobel Peace Prize

The people that give out those things would never give Trump even if he wedged himself in the silo to stop a launch...which I fully support him doing by the way.

Who on the left could mount a challenge?

Apr 20, 2018, 9:32 AM

The democrats have nothing, either from a candidate or policy standpoint.

They will have to run on "not being Trump".

Apr 20, 2018, 9:40 AM

The question is if that will be enough. Certainly "not being Hillary" was a big factor for the President in his election. I personally know many people whose stated reason for voting for him was, exclusively, the fact that he is not Hillary Clinton.

I had some similar feelings, but I chose a different person who was not Hillary Clinton.

I think AlGore makes a comeback

but realistically, they'll nominate another gender or a race rather than a candidate. Democrats can't get past identity politics

I think Kamala Harris could make a decent run. She's smart, attractive and has very little to no baggage. I think the Dem nomination will be between her and Biden.

The primary season on the GOP is going to make

Apr 20, 2018, 10:08 AM

Julius Caesar's demise look like a baby shower. The big $ is going to back a different horse, but if he makes it through that...no way he doesn't win the general.

I would like for you to be correct about him being challenged...but I'm not so sure. The GOP has already sold its soul for the sake of getting some of its agenda passed. I don't think they really care...

does he want to get re elected?

I believe that he could personally whip Kim Jung Un's asz and still not be reelected.

The Donald will be a 1 term president.
