For those concerned about Kobe's 40

UGA RB Elijah Holyfield ran unofficial 4.78 and 4.81 40-yard dash times at 2019 combine.

He was a pretty good college RB. He was a POWER runner. Not a speedster.

Kobe said his strength is power, not speed. But he is working on the speed part daily.

We already have our speedster in Bowman. Kobe fills the power angle very well (see pic of muscles).

It also seems like the kid really wants to be here if that is the case. So I take the kid who is willing to bust ### to make it over someone who may not put as much effort in (not saying Ngata is that kinda guy. but Pryor wants to be all in now!)

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

The Pryor/Ngata debate shouldn’t be going on because they’re totally different style players. Pryor is the bigger, bruising style power back (think James Davis) and Ngata is the shifty scat back (Ellington). Bowman is more of your all around 3 down back with a good mix of power and speed who’s also a step or two above the other 2 I mentioned.

To me, if you take Pryor you try to get him to EE and maybe even redshirt so he can have 18 months to try to put on 15-20 pounds of good muscle while maintaining speed and you use him as a Bo Scarbrough type back to come and bash people’s heads in. So his high school junior 40 time isn’t a concern to me.

Bo Scarborough is blazing and explosive. He ran a 4.52.

That was also as a 22 year old

Not a 16 year old. I’m no scientist but pretty sure there’s some physical maturity between those years

There is no Pryor/Ngata debate.

Ngata is APB and a take.

Pryor is power and a take.

We are taking both.

Bo Scarbroah is terrible.

That would be 3 RBs for 2020. Seems like a lot

May 9, 2019, 6:47 PM

I wonder if Ngata is still thinking Clemson with Bowman committed. He would be the guy at a lot of other schools.

Bo Scarborough was running roughshod over our defense

He was never the same after the power rangers broke his leg.

I held my breath every time they handed it to him. He was getting 1 on 1 isolation against our LB and breaking tackles more often than not.
