In this scenario if we win as well as Okla, I wouldn't be surprised if we dropped to 5 in the playoff rankings. I hate to say it, but our good wins would at that point come against teams with a lot of losses.

Playoff of we win out.
Oklahoma? Nope, we would have the stronger SOS and resume according to ESPN experts.
ND? Nope, no conference championship.
PAC 12 and it's teams were eliminated last night?
TCU? Same as Oklahoma.
The SECCG loser will not get in over a 1 loss ACC champion. Period. End of story. So only one from GA/Bama if Auburn doesn't beat them both first.
Miami will be best by us.
Wisconsin will not jump us under any circumstances even if they are undefeated. Their top 30 wins and SOS are an absolute joke compared to ours.
This is all according to ESPN experts. It's the SEC, ACC, and then everybody else right now.
If we win out, we will not only be in the playoff, but will most likely be the 2 seed.
Take it to the bank.

since BC and Ga Tech are also teams we have beat, if they win that helps us a bit I think.

What people don't realize is SOS goes beyond the top 25

Sure, maybe they will fall in the top 25 rankings, but the committee looks at every single teams ranking on the schedule whether they are #1 or #128.
Luckily, we played both G Tech and BC so any drop by VT and NC State will be offset by their rise.
Auburn is a little bit different matter, but it isn't like they are going to fall out of the top 30 losing to the #1 and #2 teams in the next few weeks.
Again, for literally the millionth time, win and we ARE IN.
ESPN even released an article recently saying the SEC and ACC are virtually locks to get a playoff spot if current trajectories continue. And then there is everybody else battling it out for spots 3 and 4.
If we win out we will most likely be a number 2 seed. No way lower than a 3.
