Ok, playing Devils Advocate

Do you think that the "old people" were happy back in the day when "Fight like he!! and win, d@mnit" was added to the end of the cheer.
I know that eff'n is a whole other class of cussing than d@mn & he!!. However, it's still not the most appropriate for kids.
Again, I would not want my 5 year son to say either and do not agree with the new addition to the cheer. The liberal in me is just looking at both sides of the argument.
(May have said the worst cuss word ever - Liberal)

Tigers fight was fight d@mn it fight. That's the way that cheer was said by all and I don't recall anyone being offended. Different times different world. I don't know when it was PC'd to tigers, but in the orange bowl all Nebraska heard was fight d@mn it fight

Robertn, That was a favorite at pep rallies on campus, I do not think it was used at games. Also, I don't remember it being rat s###, bat s###, pu### smells.....At least in 1968 that is how it went. Don't think that one was in the rat handbook......

I saw it written that way in the Unhymnal which contains a lot of other not so nice cheers. My point is that we've always done stuff like this. The MF has been going on for at least 15 years probably longer.
Should we try to stop it? Yeah, probably. But this isn't unique to this crop of students.

I'm no prude, believe that, but the '...S - O -'Mfn' - N' is tasteless nonsense. It sounds childish. How is such a thing stopped?? I must say I do miss the old style 'Fight, Tigers! Fight DxxxIt! Fight! Fight! Fight!'. That was/is a great gritty old-school cheer. All the same, how was that weaned out? If anybody knows, can we use that to save our grand old 'C-L-E-M-S-O-N' cry? The added 'Whoo-Hoo' is an embarrassment enough, but now this???
I have never read a single defense of the 'whoo-hoo', btw. Is there some sort of sorority girl plot that keeps that mxxxxxxxxxxxg bxxxxxxt alive?

And that's pretty much the only ones who still say it. The AA fraternity block and a scattered few throughout the rest of the section. I can say that i have been guilty a few times, when a game gets crazy sometimes stuff slips out. I said it once during the 2013 Georgia game and also after the 4th down goal line stop against Louisville last year. It happens, but most people aren't saying it every time.

It was, "fight Tigers, fight ######, fight, fight"
Fact is, it was better that way.
As times moved forward, a third "fight" somehow got added.......................obviously by those who never knew there were only 2......................and for some reason, there now seems to be an effort to say the last part as fast as possible.
