Isn't Babers almost 60? I guess in some ways that's good...not too long term of an investment.

He's 56, Jimbo is 52 so not a huge age difference there.
But like you said, he may not coach but 10-15 more years max? And that's if he hits the ground running and doesn't struggle.

Personally, I want them to make a strong hire. We need the conference to have a few strong foes to keep us battle tested and our SOS up.

I know as Clemson fans, we believe CU is a national brand now, but a decade of dominance would cement that forever.
ESPN has all but said they prefer teams that dominate ... that's why they love Bama ... makes them look like they know what they are talking about. College football chaos makes them look like igits.

Taggart might be good.
He might not be good.
He went 7-5 his first season at Oregon.
Jury's still out on the guy.
One thing that would hurt him is, all the QB's FSU has were recruited to play pro-style. Dunno if going to an up-tempo spread is really their thing. Francois is probably the only true dual-threat on their roster and he's slight enough that if you try running him extensively I dunno how long he'd last.
He'd have to do a fair bit of rebuilding with the 'Noles...I dunno, is that a place where you get any time?
