I doubt he comes back but if he gets a second round grade someone isnt doing their homework. The kid is a great back.

Very, very few RBs get 1st round grades now

There have been years recently where no back is drafted until the 2nd round. I don't think Etienne is a 1st round pick this year or next year so he's probably gone unless he just really wants to play another year of college ball.

I don't know what ETN's draft grade will be, but if he returns it's because of the long list of pretty talented RBs entering the draft this season.
Even if he thinks he is better than all of the other guys, I think it is safe to say that they are all close enough in talent that it will come down to team preference.
I think he could be anywhere between the 3rd RB taken and the 7th RB taken.
In an NFL where RBs are losing their draft value, anywhere lower than 3rd or 4th back is pushing you pretty far down in the rounds.

In the first round. His pass blocking and catching the ball has improved a lot.
He’s also a lot lower mileage than most other top RB prospects. I don’t get it

I don't think it's anything on Travis, it's the devaluing of the position in the NFL. Combine that with a loaded rb class and it's a 2nd rd grade. A rb's career is so short, he needs to go and take care of himself and family for life. He has nothing else to prove at the college level.
with Dixon, Bowman, and Melusi - I think we're going to be just fine next year

He's real close to Spilleresque. Get him the ball with any kind of open space = very dangerous. I could see him coming back.

Yeah, I agree with all you guys, he won't move up much, new O-Line, etc.
It feels like next year is going to be "reload" except for a few games (because we'll kill everyone). Get the new O-Line/secondary up to speed, D-Line gonna become dominant again.
I suspect Dabo wants DJU to get alot of reps next year so he's ready to go day1 if/when Trevor leaves. Also have to develop Ngata/Ladson/Bowman (with DJ) for the "next wave"

ETN might not even make 2nd round. His pass protection is still a big liability. That is critical in the NFL.
He loves it here and he stays !
