The report on baseball and lacrosse being cut at Furman said the school's Endowment had lost $100 million in value because of the market. Furman has a huge Endowment but $100 is a big loss. Clemson and every other school's Endowment have also lost value but being a state school certainly helps at Clemson.

I wear a mask in public to protect others. Some refuse to do so, which is their right but more than 3 people together not wearing masks could be arrested for endangering others.
I do not know what will happen in 2 months but factories that are reopening are checking temperatures at the gates and requiring all who enter to wear masks. Some restaurants have installed infrared cameras at the doors to check the temps of all who enter. I expect all events to install the infrared cameras in the next 3 months. I expect that sporting events or possibly all events will require masks. Someone on the upper deck of a crowded stadium yelling could infect thousands below them.

If you want sports with fans in the stands, start wearing masks in public.

I think football and basketball will be played this fall and winter but whether there are fans in the stands depends on our actions now! All other sports could be played with social distancing in the stands.

We installed metal protectors for the safety of the crowd. Temperature checks and requiring masks will protect more people than the metal detectors.
