Not enough rebounding, defense and even offense with Roper - they were taking him down low and scoring easily over him. Blossingame would have really helped with rebounding and defense especially! Filer, unfortunately did not do much either!

You are correct--When we would switch on screens, Roper would wind up guarding their center--and SMU would pull the forwards out to keep KJ away from the boards leaving no help for Roper from the weak side. Big mis-match in favor of SMU. We really didn't have much choice as Roper was the only alternative we had that could provide scoring.

Roper has a big heart and is a great athletic but at 5' 11",

165 lbs. , he should not have to be in that position! Bloss was sorely missed, but the coaches should have known better, especially in the second half!

horses to win last night without him. We just got out hustled and out played in the second half. One area I'd like to see us improve in next year, is going for the kill and not letting teams back in it after we have them bloodied and nearly knocked out.

cam out after half like we already had it won.
one thing that i notice from these post game pressers - our players always say "we knew they would come at us and make a run" or something to that effect. I would like for the team (coaches and players) to worry more about us and what we did to get such a lead and what we need to do to maintain that lead rather than worrying about how the other team is going to come out of the locker room.
Winning is a mindset as much as it is ability.
