If Alabama loses to Auburn or Georgia and still makes playoffs

Why would Clemson miss the playoffs if they dropped a game to either coots or Pittsburgh? Obviously this is a hypothetical question because Clemson going to destroy the coots 55-0. And beat Pittsburgh but isn’t it very unfair that Alabama would get in with a loss but Clemson would not? Anyway ready to destroy the coots it never gets old. Nervous about injuries so hoping for a tiger win with no injuries

We would get in with a loss. Alabama is more tricky as their loss to UGA would put UGA into the playoffs and granted if each team in the top 4 wins out then Alabama wouldn't have much of an argument other than looking good through 10 weeks as the resume for the other teams either being undefeated, having a conference championship, or being the one to beat Alabama would best it.
