I’m not totally sold on Kirby, BUT in his first 4 seasons as

head coach, he has had:
1) 6 players arrested in 2019
2) Blew a 13 point 3rd quarter lead in the national championship
3) Blew a 14 point 3rd quarter lead in the SEC championship
4) Had the worst fake punt in college football history.
5) Lost to a 4-8 UofSC team at home playing with their 3rd string QB
6) Fined for multiple recruiting violations

As posted before.... Kirby is 44-12 (.7857) which isn't bad.... but Mark Richt was 42-10 (.8077)
And if you say that at least Kirby played for a Natty, Richt 2002 team was ranked #3 and so was Kirby (#3). So really the same finish, different format. Both behind undefeated teams.
If anything, you have had a downgrade. Richt NEVER lost to a 4-8 team in seasons. That and Richt face a lot stiffer competition against both Saban, Spurrier, Meyer, Fulmer, and even Tubberville's height.
Finally, I don't care. I always liked and respected Richt. He was a great coach. Can't say the same about Kirby.

He is also the only active coach to loose in the CFP National Championship game and not win the next year.

Don't forget that Smart ran off a Heisman candidate QB because he had no clue how to develop or use him. That same QB led his new team to the CFP while Smart and bunch of misfits received a woodshed whooping in the SECCG.

I totally agree on the Fields fiasco. How he was not named starter I can't comprehend it. For the lost of a Great QB and to a 4-8 team he should be on hot seat or ejection seat , catapult seat , strapped to a rocket etc.....
