if Alabama loses this game. I would love to know the last time an SEC team wasn't #1 in the BCS.
Wait, i just looked it up. It was the 13th week in 2010. So about 2 years ago.

I believe that regardless of what happens with Bama today.
Oregon, however, would be #1 because they have banked more cache with pollsters over the last few years. It wouldn't really matter because both will probably win out.

preparing for that situation by downgrading the talents of at least Florida. In other words, by the time FSU plays Florida and beats them, Florida will be the 8th best SEC team and when we beat USC, they will be the 15th worst.

takes care of woeful SEC Least team? I've heard very, very few pundits pointing out just because you win the SEC doesn't guarantee you a spot in the NC game. They seem to believe the SEC Championship is an automatic bid to the NC.
