if I were Elliot. Just don't even have it on the playsheet for that situation going into the game. I'd probably not run those zone read plays on those 3rd and shorts either. We've done poorly on that play call all year even against far inferior opponents. It surely ain't gonna work vs Bama. Either call a creative run play (like the last rushing TD WG9 had vs tOSU) or pass.

Thought about jumbo against OSU but figured they may have wanted to keep those defensive guys fresh in case OSU ever figured something out on offense (SPOILER: they didn't).

If we can't execute on 3rd and 1 we aren't going to win. I have no problem running up middle on 3rd and 1. It comes down to who wants it more.
