Nikki and I are in Irmo today for the EPT Showcase. We spoke with Zacch and his mother, and she says his recruitment is still open. She told me, "Unless you hear it from me it isn't true." It's a great interview we will post later.

Defensive end, but with his size already (6'4/pushing 275 or so) he could be a guy that moves inside like Jordan Williams did this year, who was also listed as a defensive end. By the time Pickens finishes his senior year he'll probably be close to 285, and then a whole spring/summer in a college weight room could easily bulk up him to 295-300 pounds with that size, perfect for a D-Tackle

True, and his quickness off the edge makes Pickens perfect for an end. However, with our sudden lack of DT depth in 2019, if we somehow move him inside, that would be huge

I hope this young man is clear on the fact that he may not walk in as a true freshman and be a starter in front of all the other great defensive ends currently at Clemson I hope I’m not smelling another Josh Belk here but he is a Carolina gamecock “heavy lean”. Please don’t misunderstand me everyone — he would be a great “get” but listening to this guy being interviewed and his mom — they might think he should go to the front of the line regardless of his talent. This is a team sport — we want team players not individuals. I could care less about the heisman etc. we want team attitude “all in” players.
