ITT we discuss events that scarred us for life:

1. When I was in middle school, we had AOL and "punters" were the rage. Punters were programs that you could use to kick your friends offline and do other malicious things. I downloaded the "187 Punter". When opening the program, it showed a video of a dude blowing his own brains out in a court room. I can still see it when I close my eyes.
2. When I was a senior in HS, I went to stay with my cousin at Clemson. I thought I'd be funny and download a video of a woman banging a horse on his computer using Kazaa. I DL'd it, clicked play, and said, "hey look over here!" to him and his friends/roomates. What actually played was a video of a dude stepping on another dude's head and sawing his head off with a KABAR knife. Of course his friends were all like "### DUDE????" and I had to explain that I was trying to play a horsey ##### video, which was somehow 1000X more wholesome.
3. Somebody send me an email forward at my work email about 10 years ago of a really bad car crash where this chicks brains were splattered every where and you could see half her head with her face attached. It was some sort of anti-texting and driving chain email.
N-E-WAYZ, that's all I got.
- Ryan

something with a mystery CD-R in there. We put it in the computer and saw that it was a collection of videos and pictures. Well, there was one with a funny name that we decided to play. It was a relatively hot woman who then proceeded to take a giant tdrake® on a silver platter. There was a guy there who I imagine was going to do something with the poo, but I never watched the rest. It was, however, the most magnificent poo I had ever seen. The size of it would clog any toilet, possibly permanently. This may be why she was using a silver platter.

Being beaten senseless by my father anytime I didn't do EXACTLY what he told me too. Sometimes, he would do it just to see me cry. Also, the numerous creative objects that he was able to grab on a moment's notice and eff me up. The head, gut and kneecaps were all fair game.
I still never understood why he didn't yank the lawn mower pull cord out of my hand that time I broke it off and beat me with the plastic end of that. I guess he was too mad to think.

That was a 4th place one for me. Yes it's horrible, but I looked away before it got REAL bad... that's why I didn't count it.
My brother and I looked away. My wife sat there and watched laughing like a complete psycho. I went home and promptly threw away all of our mason jars.

There was a grainy video floating around early 2000's of a Russian solider being beheaded in Afghanistan.

My best friend called me like 5 minutes before he died in a motorcycle accident, and I ignored it because I was playing Madden. Now I get anxiety whenever I miss a call. Particularly if it's not work related.

This was when there were a few decent looking girls on the site. Met her in Gaffney, she was coming from a church outing. It was a Redwing moment in the back of her Toyota. Didn't care. Those teddies were bouncing around like big teddies do. Met her several more times. Was a little crazy but still wish I'd hit it a few more times

Family business in Aiken was a body shop...
Sep 5, 2018, 11:52 AM
|

my grandfather owned it was I was little and my Dad ran the wrecker some weekends (he later took over the operation). I would ride along with him sometimes and he normally did a pretty good job of not letting me see gruesome stuff. However, one night we rolled up to a wreck of a guy riding a motorcycle around a sharp corner and there was a brick wall on the outside of the corner. It was night and I guess the guy didn't see the curve and he went straight into the wall at full speed. Let's just say that the wall won that battle...there were body parts all over. That scene is burned into my brain. One reason I will never ride/own a motorcycle.

A few years back a bunch of those fatties were protesting in the Wal Mart parking lot in Greenville because they thought they should be able to breastfeed in the middle of the aisle, among other places.

There was this girl with one leg about a foot shorter than the other one. Ans she kinda smelled like pee. And she was greasy looking. Anyway, my science teacher had moved me to the front of the class because class clown, and the girl would always walk by me staring at me and grinning. One day I told here "I wish you would just drop dead."
That weekend she did.
I have always felt like a P.O.S. about that.

After Clemson games, a buddy of mine would frequently stop by the "six pack" dorms in Cola (USC Jr) and party with a buddy of ours. One night, I watched him throw up in a 2 litre bottle. How did he do that without it spraying everywhere?

family computer....my dad can't start a new Microsoft Word document, but one day 25 years ago, he managed to navigate to a well concealed pr0n folder (that I think I even usually had 'hidden', but forgot to set it back 'last time'...).
This is back during IRC days, when you had no idea what you were even getting until it was downloaded 5 minutes later. And sometimes you either bail before something is fully downloaded....or just plain forget to erase the 'mistakes'.
so yeah, TLDR, that was a fun convo

were heading down Old Easley Bridge Rd. 1970 or 71, I was 13 or 14. Just past Tanglewood Baptist Church we passed an 18 wheeler and immediately a kid was just right there in front of us, running across the road. I guess he'd been waiting to cross the road and took off as soon as the truck passed, and at that moment the truck blocked his view of us coming the other way. I don't think mom even had time to hit the brakes before we hit him.
A split second before impact, he looked up and we made eye contact.
Killed him instantly. She was still driving the Big Black Bomber, the 56 Ford, the car I drove when I first got my license. It was a freaking tank. The impact threw him 20 or 30 feet into a ditch than ran along the side of the road. I jumped out of the car and was the first person to see him. I knew instantly he was dead. Eyes about half open. One arm was practically snapped in two, but blood wasn't gushing out... even at that age I knew that meant his heart wasn't beating.
Of course within a couple mins people were gathering around. I wouldn't let mom go see him, I kept her in the car. The kid was 8 years old and lived in that trailer park, he was killed right in front of his house. His mom or grandma, I forget, came running out and was screaming and wailing. Bad scene. That trailer is still there, I saw it a few months ago when I was on that side of town.
The shocked look on his face when our eyes met, his last second on earth. The death stare as he lay in the ditch. The screaming of his family member. Yeah, all of those things are permanently burned into my brain, like it was yesterday, not almost 50 years ago.

Yeah, it was bad, obviously. My mom felt so guilty, she aged about 10 years in a month. But there was nothing she could do, it was slam-bang, he just darted right out in front of us. Fortunately a lady across the street was outside and saw the whole thing and told the cops. So there was no question about that... but that didn't make her feel any better.
She would never go down that stretch of road again, which was awkward. It was the quickest, straightest shot from her restaurant to our house. But she'd go way down White Horse Rd, hit Hwy 123, and loop back in, and vice-versa. Way out of the way... but I understood why.
