OSU isn't going to hire a coach that is past his prime and got fired at LSU and Stoops, by all accounts, is happily retired. I believe it was Bruce Feldman that predicted last year that Stoops would retire pretty soon because Stoops had told him in the past that he wanted to get out of coaching before he turned 60.
Maybe Ohio State can lure him back out of retirement, but it seems like that would only be a stop-gap hire.

These schools hiring has beens blow my mind. Especially with the recent trend of young coaches recently.
Miles or Stoops would be the height if stupidity and the biggest waste of cash there is.
Plenty of hungry young coaches with good resumes that I would take 1000x over Miles or Stoops.

The Stoops ship has sailed. He was under fire for the Mixon incident. OSU isn’t going to fire one guy for “protecting an abuser” and hire another who “did the same thing.”
If not Day, Wilson and Schiano would get looks. Pellini may get a courtesy call. Tressel is an intriguing possibility. Matt Campbell seems to be a front runner. They’d wait and see what the landscape looks like in December.
