So would I but unlike you I am a Cowboy fan. In fact I have been a fan since I was 10.I am now 70.Do the math. Since day one.
The Cowboys are in their 60th season, and have had only 2 quarterbacks I will consider Franchise
Quarterbacks, IMO; Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman .I do not consider Tony Romo among them as he never got them to the Super Bowl. Not that is is to blame for that, but Tony was ,IMO, a "GUNSLINGER" with as much talent around him as either Roger, or Troy, but he never had a Head Coach worth his weight in salt.
So yes I would love The Cowboys to get Trevor,b ut it will not happen. Dallas has staked it's future, for now on Dak Prescott, yet they can't even come to terms on that deal. That's why he is sitting at home right now recovering from a broken ankle, and having nothing more than a franchise tag.
Then there are the Jets, who actually have a 2 game lead over the Cowboys for one of the worst records in the entire league. And if my memory serves me the Vikings are sitting at 2-5 (with a bye)and will play Dallas sometimes this month.
Besides the Cowboys need Defensive help more than offense. Have you seen them try to tackle anybody lately. I have, and I could probably tackle someone, anyone, better than they can, and I can't even bait fishing tackle.
So don't worry, you probably won't have to start pulling for them .Besides ,you can always pull for that other Texas team that does have a former Clemson Quarterback.

You're right, the Cowboys need help on defense. The Cowboys may of had the best offense in the league before Prescott got hurt, or at the very least a top 5 in the league offense. To be fair, they do have a lot of injuries on the OL currently as well.
