I would like to recognize Coach Brownell for coaching shooting these last couple of weeks.

He’s either decided to start coaching our players on proper shooting form, or he has drastically changed his approach in coaching them. Regardless, the results speak for themselves.
It makes you wonder why it took him ten years here to start putting an emphasis on it.

Two fold. BB hasn't done anything different. On your theory the Louisville coach should get fired for having an off night against Clemson and our Tigers having a couple good nights shooting the ball. What exactly changed other than the shots went in... Basketball is just like baseball, game of streaks. You have to look at an entire season or seasons to grep any trends.

to every little thing, whether it be poor three point shooting or bad free throw shooting for a few games. You know, those posts where they say, "He's the coach, he should be working on this in practice!" and "He's the one ultimately responsible!"
We both know that the coach can call the best plays in the world to get open shots (of which we have had many this year), but it's ultimately the job of the players to make those shots.
I'm glad to see our team shooting so well these last few games. Having more continuity with several guys being healthy now, coupled with the confidence of our younger players, has helped a lot. I hope to see it continue!

I’ve heard that sometimes coaches can look clueless for 10 years and then suddenly become a good coach, like the guy at FSU. Maybe that’s the case here. I sure hope Brownell is not on the 20 year clueless plan though!
