It is an age old issue, young people think they are invincible and no harm will ever come to them. 18 and bullet proof .Young,drunk and that goes a long way to bad things happening. A simple thing such as not asking if the guy was her UBER and checking the app for verification would have saved a life. I have an issue with all ridesharing platforms in that the is no real background checks done on drivers, they will accept anyone to screw themselves as a contractor. Now if they had to actually hire and call them employees maybe things would be different.
