Maybe I'm a little slow but can someone explain how VT plays 3 cupcakes and the #1 team and gets 5th while we play 2 top 10 teams and get tied for 10th.

put too much emphasis on the FCS games. The only difference b/t a FCS and a terrible mid-major FBS team like many schedule is like a 99.99% chance to win vs a 99.9% chance to win. It barely matters...

I agree that these are mostly tough non-conference schedules, but they are not even close to being in the proper order.

Alabama ALWAYS plays cupcakes. I'm surprised they ventured out far enough to play VT. That weakness can only help us, provided we win all our games.
FSU would definitely be on there if not for Florida. They never have a tough schedule either.

Alabama has always shown it's willing to play noteworthy OOC opponents. Of course it has its share of cupcakes too, but everyone does.
Since 2007, in order:
Florida State, #9 Clemson, #7 Virginia Tech, #18 Penn State, @ #23 Penn State, #8 Michigan, Virginia Tech, West Virginia.
All games were played at neutral sites with the exception of Penn State, which was a home & home.

SMU, Nevada, Southern Miss, and Western Michigan are only on the list because the teams they play think they will roll over them. These are the type of teams that should keep other teams from getting on the list not teams that should be on the list.
