So how long after Brownell's eventual firing...

is Will Wade announced as our next coach?
Whether it's this off season or more likely next, I think he's the guy we target and get. Nice to get an Alum leading the tigers.

The fact that he is an Alumni of Clemson would help lure him I would think.

Wade is an alumnus(singular) of Clemson, not alumni(plural). I actually did learn something in Latin class at Rock Hill High in 1964.

Indeed, Ms. Kate Hardin was a great Latin teacher.

"panic people?"
I've supported Brownell this entire time, but at this point it's pretty clear he is not that great of a coach. He is great at developing talent when it is there to begin with, but definitely has faults when it comes to roster management, and in-game strategy. Unfortunately in the ACC, you do not always have the time to wait around for players to develop and when they do, they leave for the NBA. A upperclassmen led team of stars isn't something that will be possible for him to assemble in the ACC, and that hinders his best quality as a coach.
I'm excited to see what he can do next year when they are back in LJ with the incoming transfers, but am still skeptical in his overall skills as an ACC head coach.

If you win games, you get support. If you lose games, you lose support. If you lose too much, you leave.

He's actually right....

Not an attitude statement, just factual observation in the coaching world.
Look, Tommy West is a heckuva guy and did some good things here but he had to go eventually Bc it was clear he wasn't turning a corner...brownell is now there.

He regularly talks about Clemson on his local show in VA.

So you are full of crap.
Besides, he would have no reason to say that he doesn't have any interest in Clemson, since we don't have a vacancy and we haven't interviewed him for the job.

I'm confident that Will does speak about Clemson, who doesn't who has spent any time here. I just conveyed Mr. Wade's response from someone who spoke to him and asked specifically about the Clemson basketball job.

According to some on this board, their won't be an opening until 2024 at least. Gotta give Brownell a chance!

next year with anyone. Put your money where your mouth is or stop this firing BB crap. It would be beyond stupid to get rid of him when we are on the verge of taking the next step. I'll also say that if JB stays, we will be a top 25 team next year.

But wait... If will wade doesn't want to coach here, then surely we can get Greg Marshall ??
Coaches are lining up to get the chance to coach Clemson basketball.
