Who actually carries balances on their credit cards? I've never carried a balance on mine, ever.

0% interest promos on transfers with a $5 or 2% fee (which ever is greater). Every other card I pay off each month.

If no one did, there would be no credit cards

Apr 1, 2019, 3:49 PM [ in reply to most people with credit cards*** ]

If no one ever replied to an email spammer, there would be no spam. If no one ever bought something from a phone solicitation, there would be no robocalls. If no one ever clicked on an internet ad, there would be no popup ads. If.....well, you get the picture.

That streak comes to an end this month as I am taking advantage of my 12 months to pay Lowe's for the new washer and dryer.

I did one time when I bought a house

Apr 1, 2019, 4:28 PM

because I put most of my cash into the downpayment and labor for renovations. I used used credit cards to finance purchases for the house including flooring, appliances, etc... But the balances were on cards that didn't accrue interest and they were timely paid off.
