I wear it out of respect

Sep 14, 2020, 10:00 PM

but masks are stupid. The whole deal is stupid. We are stupid for allowing this to happen. It’s all stupid and dumb and ridiculous.

We will look back one day and be so embarrassed of ourselves.

I am already embarrassed that I participated in a kids drive thru birthday party.

Clothes in general are stupid unless it’s cold but I too wear them out of respect.

And so I don’t get laughed at.

When you go to Walmart, have you ever noticed how horrifyingly grotesque most human faces there are?

new revelation that pedophiles and sex traffickers wear masks and they love this new mask mandate because it makes them easier to ###### your kids up.

Sep 15, 2020, 10:26 AM

my new look in public is the block C danny ford hat (thanks jounge), shiny orange pit vipers, and the silky smooth neck gaiters (huk or orvis types). I'm literally beating the ##### off w/ a stick. next up will be a fat set of truck nuts and a pallet deck. birks are on order...backlogged due to surge in demand from upstate sc

only thing missing and long lead item is a fresh mullet flowing out the back

for realz tho:
got a neck gaiter out of necessity b/c i was burnt to a crisp from fishing, and realized it could serve as a mask. wore one of the medical ones that look like a maxipad for my flight, and my #### ears were kill-n-me (fat head problems). the neck gaiter on the flight home had no issue and everyone was happy. mask probably did nothing but between the copenhagen, eating stripper ######, playing beer pong and sharing doobies, i'm a sitting duck for the rona anyways

I like the gaiters too because they're comfortable AF.

Sep 15, 2020, 10:30 AM

Problem is, they don't filter out jacksheet, and if you did have covid and coughed or sneezed with one of those on, all that gaiter did was atomize the droplets to make them even better at clinging to someone's nose hairs.

came from this study, https://www.wired.com/story/scientists-put-masks-to-the-test-with-an-iphone-and-a-laser/

but I see some people still saying "better than nothing!" and Snopes (where I don't go for my infectious disease info) says false....who knows.... Here's a good measured look at it too. https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2020/08/14/902244060/how-should-i-cover-my-face-a-deeper-look-into-neck-gaiters-and-face-shields

wrap your entire head in duct tape, you can neither transmit nor receive the virus.

ringofhonor-rhtig.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

There is wide variation in neck gaiter material too...

Sep 15, 2020, 11:04 AM [ in reply to Re: Do you have an article on that?*** ]

I've got one that is very light and breathable and even has a different material with small holes where your mouth/nose are. Others are more like cotton mask material.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

gaiters are best when you don't really need a mask but

Sep 15, 2020, 11:25 AM [ in reply to Re: Do you have an article on that?*** ]

have to wear one to check a box, like when outdoors or in a store not slammed with people. If in close indoor quarters for a bit, it's probably not a great choice. Unless you refuse to subscribe to socialistmarxistcommunism and it's all a hoax.
