Do my eyes deceive me?

Sep 12, 2013, 10:24 PM

Either Tadjha is taller than 6'1" or Danzler is shorter than 5'10" or a little bit of both or perhaps a little bit of the opposite. Or maybe Dantsler is standing in a hole or Tajj is standing on a platform. Regardless, good to see them together. Dandzler was so exciting to watch! And Traj is so cool under pressure!

Go Tigers!

Looks like a 3" difference to me.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I played Bball a few times with Dantler when I was a student

Sep 12, 2013, 11:27 PM [ in reply to Do my eyes deceive me? ]

I am 6'1 and he was at least 2 inches shorter than me. But #### was he fast and could jump like a flee. He was pure athlete.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Strange coincidence... 5 minutes ago BEFORE i came onto

Sep 13, 2013, 9:13 AM

Tigernet i just happened to be thinking about playing pickup basketball out at The Summit a couple of times with Woody Dantzler, and then he shows up here.

He wasn't much a bball player, but he was lightning fast.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I, too, used to play basketball against our football players

Sep 14, 2013, 10:50 PM [ in reply to I played Bball a few times with Dantler when I was a student ]

I made the mistake of taking a charge on one of our football players as he was coming down the lane for a dunk. Does the name Bennie Cunningham mean anything to ya'll? (6'5" 250 lbs.) My head hurt for 3 days, and all he did was laugh.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

All I know is Tajh is not 6'1"

Sep 12, 2013, 11:29 PM [ in reply to Do my eyes deceive me? ]

I'm 5'10" and Tajh might be an inch and some change taller than I am on a good day. I would guess he's either 5'11" or MAYBE 6" in shoes with tall cleats.

just under 6 feet tall. I'm almost exactly 6 foot and he was a shade shorter than me. Pretty sure Woody was under 5'10"....but what a player. Woddy ironically set Clemson's single game yards record against NCSU I believe. I remember he ran a long TD just before half and had like 550-600 yards off O accounted for. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I swear I remember Woody lighting up NCSU his Jr. or Sr. season.

Finally can see it. Woody was the best player in the country

Sep 12, 2013, 11:23 PM

and should've got the Heisman & a better chance in NFL. Michael Vick had nothing on him.

Tremendous talent. I can't believe they couldn't find a place for him on the field.

In 2000 he basically beat NCSU and Maryland by himself. It was unreal.

And there was this:

I wish Woody's return as a Cowboy had been a bigger deal nationally, because it is amazing!

he should have gotten the Heisman.

2001 was one of the most wide-open Heisman races

Sep 13, 2013, 9:19 AM [ in reply to Finally can see it. Woody was the best player in the country ]

in my lifetime, and Woody still didn't even finish in the top 10 of the voting.

1)Crouch - 770pts
2)Grossman - 708
3)Dorsey - 638
.....
10)Peppers - 41

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'd love to see Woody in this offense.

Sep 12, 2013, 11:26 PM

I think Chad could coach up his passing to where it would be close to Tajh's, but with his running ability, he might even be better overall.
