Does anyone have a good video of the Leggett "fumble"

Oct 3, 2016, 8:55 PM

I felt in real time he didn't have complete control and it should have been called an incomplete pass. I looked at a highlight video and couldn't really get a definitive answer.

It was a fumble he took 2 full steps after catching the ball

from the angle I had it looked like he bobbled it, was he

I thought the same thing live but after the replays it was a fumble.
He just tucked it and they knocked it out

backed it up and watched again, it was obvious to me too that he made the catch, took a step or two, then fumbled.

It was if not they would have reviewed it.

they called it an interception, but the tip of the ball was on the ground. I think it should have been reviewed!

I was surprised when they didn't review it but I was also in

100% a fumble

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Just watched it a dozen times...no way was it a fumble....

Oct 3, 2016, 9:08 PM

It may have been an interception, but it looked like the tip of the ball hit the ground, but he in no way possessed the ball long enough for a reception.

Watch in slow motion....

Oct 3, 2016, 9:27 PM

Just watched that play the same number of times in slo-mo....I agree that the ball came out - and after only 1 step, plus it looked like a bobble when he had it for that nanosecond.
What is particularly amazing is that there was no Review. There were only 3 angles shown on TV. Would review booth have had more angles to review?
I think, with the pace of the game and National TV audience, they did not want to disrupt the flow. Plays with MUCH less questionability are typically Reviewed. This was a meaningful scoring situation deep in UL territory. The other thing that is of note, had we scored, which was likely, the score would have gone to 35-19 Goodguys. No excuse for nary a review!

thought the same thing***
