So since many of you are ready to give the Big10 a mulligan

Sep 17, 2020, 11:55 AM

how do you handicap the field? team plays less game, advantage or disadvantage? A team doesn't play a game because the other team has Covid issues? You play an Alabama team and win, but they had 10 starters out? You just opened up a huge can or worms we all knew was going to be there anyway. It's worse now. This is going to be a mess.

Not me. Want to bet on how many times we hear the words- eye test, resume, body of work? Kirk may even shed a tear for the Bucknuts. They want in, so that once again, they can put that awesome BIG 10 speed in front of America.

Lol.. it doesn't matter. The teams

Will play when and if they can play. Worry about the cfp when the time comes.

There is a high probability we won't make it that far anyway.

Enjoy every minute you can watch and focus on what you can control, what game food you will have and what alcohol you will have with it.

To me, less games is a wash. They play less games, but with no break.

everyone is arguing the wrong thing on this subject....

How many games you play should not determine whether or not you make it to the playoffs. It should only be about who you play, who you beat, how you play and of course, the cursed eye test that should factor in to the rankings.

Disagree, but you'll only be wrong :)

Has anybody (NCAA, CFP committee or League)

Sep 17, 2020, 12:38 PM

put out what's the minimum amount of games that a team has to play to qualify for CFP or League championship? I heard something yesterday about basketball teams having to play a minimum amount.

I want the season to be as legit as possible so we don't

end up with an * next to our 2020 national championship. If that means inviting OSU to the big dance, so be it.

And I'm always happy for more decent football to watch. We should get some pretty good Ohio St - Penn St - Wisconsin - (maybe) Michigan - matchups now that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

Agreed. We would've also had a situation where the B10 and PAC12 potentially would've crowned their own separate NC. I'd rather just beat them in the CFP than deal with debates over who the real champions are or who would've beaten who.

My philosophy has always been, win 'em all and your in.

As Dabo would say, "Control what you can control."

I'm just glad that college football is being played. I'm enjoying this week. I'll worry about the playoffs after the ACC Championship game.

Enjoy the moment,especially this year.

It would be fun beating Ohio State in the semis and Bama in the finals.

But, it would be just as much fun beating Navy in the semis and Georgia State in the finals.

I'm happy to, to be playing. But you just know this is going to be a mess, with some teams getting the shaft and others not. I think playing less games is an advantage, as long as its not two or three games :) Just think, the players had less time to get injured, or just less injuries period. Less toll on your body.
