Overcoming adversity: Offense does enough to win

Tony Elliott told his offense that there would be adversity during Thursday’s game at Louisville and that the proof of what kind of program the Tigers have would be in how they handled that adversity. Full Story »

I thought about that often in the 4th quarter

With all the bad luck we had, in the past we would lose those kinds of games.

My observations

Sep 18, 2015, 3:22 PM

Ok folks,
this is a forum...So everyone has an opinion--- Here's what I got!

1st off, Watson was off. I know he's going get it together- No doubt. But
he looked very rusty in this game. I expected a dog fight from L'ville, true.
But the offense is off right now.
And the concerns on the OL JUST KEEP MOUNTING IMHO. Poor , poor pass blocking*
Then there's Peake...
Where in the world was he ALL NIGHT? Did he go home? Time to give Cain more reps
(And Thompson).
Although Gallman was the man, where was Dye?

Loved loved the Defense....
no drop off there!

Special team- ugh, wanna throw up. Got to get that fixed (not with Pearman)
And kicker and punting <<~~ better keep having try outs.

Just my 2 cents.

This was a grind out clock/rely on the defense type of game. Gallman had 24 carries and did great! Why give it much to anyone else? I think the coaches did a good job of using our personnel. The quick throw to the boundary was there all night, and Scott did great. Not all players are going to have a big game every week or even have the ball thrown their way much or at all. That's okay! Peake will have other big games this year.

Hope we just keep being creative with our personnel and give the other teams much to think about!
