Screw the sports media!

Mar 13, 2020, 12:49 PM

In their rush to appear the most PC and condemn anyone who didn't immediately CANCEL EVERYTHING, they assisted in the demise of the conference tournaments and the NCAA championships. I was listening to ESPN radio yesterday right around noon and heard Jay Bilas claim the ACC seemed to be "tone deaf" by not canceling the conference tournament. 15 minutes later the tournament was canceled.

No more college sports (or NBA or MLB or PGA), in large part due to the hysteria caused by the media. This is the biggest non-event of my lifetime. And those that caused the panic and over-reaction should get their just rewards... low viewership since there is no longer anything to watch or discuss. They killed the golden goose and now want to talk about what the goose would be doing if it was still alive! Who cares?!!? Screw the sports media.

We were going to win the ACCCG and then move on to win the NCAA Championship. Nobody can prove me wrong. So, we've got that going for us. ;)

marched in lockstep with this overreaction, and in many cases, have helped to fuel it! There is absolutely no reason these college basketball teams, with healthy young athletes, could not have at least played the ncaa tournament in empty arenas. It's utterly preposterous.

Wake the eff up! This #### is serious! And Clemson’s basketball team is not worth transmitting a virus that could potentially kill a close loved one, or older member of our community. Yeah sure, you may be fine, but they may not be! Stop thinking about yourself. TD me all you want, I don’t care

Fortunately your opinion has no bearing on the situation.

This would've made four postseason berths in a row.

This year being an obvious rebuilding year with lots of injuries and new faces. If you can't appreciate what a good coaching job this was (you know, actually viewing things in context) then I don't know what to tell you.

Postseason berths are pretty much just +.500 years right? I mean, aside from the improbable sweet 16 run we made, what else can be pointed at and say “That’s improved.”

CBB is a nice guy and his kids stay out of trouble. That’s enough for some including the AD dept.
