I used to sell Sunoco race fuel to the racers and methanol to dragsters. Don’t rub with friction any type of plastic with methanol/sanitizer on a rag or your hand. The fire is invisible with the damage being done before anyone realizes it.

We used dabbing motion only.

I think the real irony of hand sanitizer is

that the CDC recommends everyone use a 70%(+) alcohol based hand sanitizer to reduce infections but there is none to be found online/in retail stores because every bit of hand sanitizer being manufactured is being sent to hospitals and now businesses.

So... we have a circular "chicken and the egg" thing happening - hospitals get all the sanitizer to protect workers while wanting to reduce infections but without the sanitizer being made widely available to the public it is doing nothing to assist in the reduction of infections outside the hospitals and ultimately results in some level of increased hospital patients. Heck - I still have not seen a single bottle of Purell in any retail store since late February...

Off topic but I saw a Charmin ad on TV that they were donating $2,000,000 to Covid relief. I told Ms. Purdy that they needed to take that 2 mil and make some dang toilet paper.

Exactly. Hand sanitizer is to be used only when soap and water are not available.

The High Wire Distilling Company and Palmetto Brewing Company combined forces to create hand sanitizer solution, and on Friday, they will be handing it out to the public for free. According to a press release, 107 barrels of beer from Palmetto Brewing were sent to the High Wire Distillery last week, and they created 140 gallons of FDA approved sanitizers.
