Hopefully no one will get cut though.

According to Wikipedia, Justin Miller was cut back in May.

Why do they insist on having Vinny Ciurciu (sp?) on this list? He transferred to BC pretty early in his career, didn't he?

One of the most foolish things I ever saw in Death Valley

|
|
It was a very long time ago, like early nineties, and Nelson Welch was our kicker. I cannot remember what game it was, or who we were playing, and whether we beat them or not. But, he missed two or three field goals in a row that game. After he missed his last one in whatever game that was, I would say a good 80% of the stadium was booing him, and you could tell who was upset sitting on the bench. I know that was a long time ago, but hopefully we will never see stupidity like that in Death Valley ever again.

I think that is one of the worst things to ever happen.

Booing players is absolutely unacceptable behavior by fans. These kids put their heart and soul on the line, and whether they have a good or bad day they should not be booed.
Ron Cherry & his bidness cohorts OTOH, boo them all you like LOL

Wow, 21 NFL teams think Clemson Tigers are worthy.
But not the Carolina Panthers! What gives??

From what I remember
Aug 10, 2010, 2:09 PM
|
|
...We had one player on the Panthers that I know of. And he was a big time player at Clemson, I am wanting to say Levon Kirkland, when he was past his prime? I can't remember, but I am sure some will.
And I hope we have had more than one play for the Panthers over the years. They have been around since 1995, so I don't remember. I will never forget them playing in Death Valley. I got to see Jerry Rice, best receiver in history, and Steve Young play. I am a Cowboys fan, and they are my team, but I also support the Panthers. It's not a bandwagon thing, I believe in supporting local teams. When I started rooting for the Cowboys in the late 80s, there was never any mention of a franchise coming to the Carolinas.
As for your post, I don't think they have an agenda against Clemson. They have picked the players they felt they needed at that point in the draft, regardless of where they played college ball. I would love to have seen CJ Spiller there, and if the Panthers had a huge need for a running back, and had the ninth pick, they would have likely got him.
And lastly, I cannot understand for the life of me why people hate the Panthers because they are "too much like UNC." The Panthers have nothing to do with UNC, or any college team, they are a pofessional franchise.

Yeah, that's who I was thinking of. For some reason I always get those two mixed up.

left for da NFL a year early. Rod Gardner too, but his problem in DC was dropped balls, thus Lav Coles coining the nickname ... "50/50"

Gardner was also slow for the NFL and when traded to the Panthers had problems learning their playbook.
