I think some here are being harsh on those who didn't buy tickets through IPTAY.

I donate to IPTAY. I don't recall getting the email; but more importantly, I didn't think I was able to attend due to logistics so I wouldn't have put in my name for IPTAY tickets. A surprise work schedule change came up for my fiancé AFTER Clemson beat OSU, and airfare was extremely cheap from Philly, so now we're able to attend.
I guess I could have been like a lot of other people and purchased the IPTAY tickets in hopes of making a pretty penny off other Clemson fans, and then just changed my mind to sell once I figured out I could go...but honestly, the scenario never crossed my mind. I don't take advantage of my own kind and I'm better than that. I wouldn't act like this to my family members, and I had always assumed Clemson was a big family. I guess I was wrong.
I understand capitalism and making a profit, but it's gone too far at this point. So now we'll be in Tampa, and we're just hoping that we can get tickets before kickoff...crossing my fingers.

More about attitude.
I think every1 understands that people want to go to the game.
The debate is the whining. Tix expensive, gouging, iptay, clemson..all unfair. Boo hoo.waaaaaaaay waaaaa.
In your post , you made a decision and now you are living with it. You are moving on, unlike many of the whiners.
I too blew my shot. Got multiple reminders from iptay to put in tik requests. Mixed up the deadline and now I'm out. My fault completely.

Or you could have purchased the tickets 'just in case', but not with the intent of making money on them.

There was no "just in case." We discussed it previously and there was basically no chance we'd be able to go.
Knowing what I know now about how Clemson people react in this type of environment, I would re-evaluate how I approach a similar situation if it ever were to come up in he future. Hard lesson learned.

I guess there's lots of face value seats on the bama side?
We could almost fill that stadium with season ticket holders (and so could bama)so lots of people won't get to be there. Sucks for many.

Speaking from experience, we bought our away tickets thru IPTAY for years and had good seats then all of a sudden that changed and friends were getting better seats and prices through other places. If you buy through the university you should be getting good seats. But that has not been the case the past few years.
