Heisman is already Clowney's to lose next year

espn's staff has already made that decision. I have to say if he keeps playing like this, he probably deserves it. It's worthwile just to double team him the entire game. Luckily, the rest of the D is just a little above average, and they're losing a few thugs this year.

I actually thought he got more credit than he deserved. They had a bust on blocking and he came completely free. He also had very mediocre stats and the LT for Michigan held serve most of the game.
That said, I still think he's the best player on defense in America.

it won't start with Clowney.
Woodson won because of his kick return skills.

are waiting for the opportunity to give it to a true defensive player. He's going to have the same if not better numbers. The thing is Manziel is probably going to have a better year. Boyd has an outside chance if he lights up Clowney and co. in Columbia. I'd just like to see a Tiger get an invite to NY. Heisman is usually the kiss of death.

He has a better chance of actually getting a degree from USC than he does getting into Clemson. I say that knowing there is no way he is getting a degree from anywhere, even if all he had to do is write his name on the paper.

Why cant you just give it a rest! Make someone else look bad or even just pointing out their failures does not make you look better.

Probably not. Clowney will get injured half way through the season like Lattimore because USC depends on them too heavily.

Clowney will not win the Heisman next year when you have Johnny Football, Braxton Miller, and D'Anthony Thomas returning. Clowney was good this year, and probably is the most talented defensive player in America, but he fell off towards the end of the year until the Clemson game, and outside of 1 big hit, didn't do much today.

He is an amazing talent and deserves any recognition he gets. I really don't see the problem.

Me either. I hate Carolina like the next Clemson man, but this kid is the truth, make no mistake about it. From a "pin your ears back and get after the QB" standpoint, no one better in the country. What a blessing for such a sh*tty program. They don't deserve a player like that..LOL

Battery-I've been reading some tweets and you're right.

Just read one national writer's tweet that said Clowney will start 2013 as best cfb player.
I really don't understand why some on here are so negative towards him and his supposed lack of intelligence. The kid is always smiling, sounds fine to me in interviews and everyone outside of this board says he will be the #1 pick in '14.
To top off all that talent and future millions, my wife has informed me he is also a really good looking guy. Being jealous of him sure, but hating' on him makes no sense.

Because some on this board believe that to be a true Tiger fan that you must totally hate Game ##### and any other opponent and that you have to use your best material from the 9th grade bathroom wall to descibe how much you hate them.

dominant force, a game changer, and no doubt the best player on the D-side of the ball in the nation. I hate giving coots any props, ever, but anyone that can't see how talented Clowney is just doesn't understand football. That being said, I think Tajh or Sammy could have something to say about Clowney running away with it. No doubt ESPN is pushing THEY'RE adgenda by bringing up that, "Clowney thinks a D player could win the Heisman next year." HINT HINT!
