I think Cowboys across the country should force Dallas

to remove the name from their NFL team.
Other teams should follow such as:
Patriots
Raiders
49ers
Packers
Steelers
Vikings
Buccaneers
Texans
Saints

All the above teams are named for a group of people. Why is it that these people are not offended by teams using their names?

None of those terms are insulting or derogatory. Native Americans consider being called Redskins a racist derogatory term. I like the name, but they don't.

actually means "raiders" which is for all intents and purposes the same as Buccaneers.

The British are offended by the "Patriots" since they stole their country from their king, and I'm sure Steelers is offensive to people who still live in the stone age.

The atheists in America are offended by "The Saints", and we all know how offended the Atzlan crowd is about the "Texans" since they think the Texicans stole Texas from "La Raza."

I guess we just have to find the group of insulted people who feel them being called Raiders is a derogatory term towards them. Its like being a pirate I guess.

I know a lot of Indians through my ex wife. Every single one of em’ are Redskin fans and every single on of them are pissed at the thought of a name change.

My aunt is a Hupa Indian. My uncle, white guy, is a financial officer for the Hupa Indians. If you called indians redskins to their face, you have a good chance of confrontation. Its not as if some wouldnt mind, but it's generally considered offensive. On the other hand, I have read studies where it is shown that the vast majority polled dont mind the Redskins as the name of the team. It should be left alone. Hopefully the name stays the same. Too much PC stuff right now imo.
