Clemson would be in a better position as 2 or 3. A lot
of pressure would be off. Correct me if I am wrong but
I don't believe any team ranked #1 at the beginning of
the season has won the NC if ranked #1 all the way to
the CFP.

There is no real upside to being #1 other than the soul crushing despair it generates in the coots who are repeatedly exposed to the (1) next to our name.

I think that’s just a coincidence. This team really has a lot to improve on but yesterday was only the 5 game of the year. There’s still plenty of time. However I do think with improving the starters need to play more snaps. I get trying to build depth but your starters have to be squared away first. Just my 2 cent.
