I'm not sure we should brag about being the next FSU, a program that was a perennial top five team for 25 years under Bowden and all of those "10 win" seasons. It makes us out to be a program that just can't cash it in.

In the last 10 years only 6 teams have won national championships, and we are one of them. The metric is championships, of which we have 3 straight conference and one national championship, while playing for another and making the playoffs again.
We are only behind Alabama in playoff appearances, and by what we've seen we will be back again next year.
We were one of 6 teams to win 12 games this year, and in the last 4 years we are a combined 50-7. Going back to 2011, the start of our 10+ win season run, we are 82-15.
I'm not sure why you brought up FSU, because I sure didn't, but that has nothing to do with the current landscape of college football.
