I'm not looking to blame anybody for a loss - we did an outstanding job and outplayed Bama on offense and defense. This was an amazing football game with amazing competition all around.

That said, it's time to take a long look at the cumulative letdown that was our special teams play this season. We have athletes for miles, so I continue to scratch my head at the frequent miscues in coverage of returners. I sure hope there's a scheme/coaching solution that Pearman can arrive at during the offseason. Tiger faithful are hopeful for greatness next year but are tired of the obvious thorn in the flesh.

Walt was right. ST did cost us big in this game. We made other errors on offense and defense, but ST has been suspect all year.

take your pick. We beat ourselves. Our talent and is equal to bama everywhere. Tonight we beat ourselves on some key plays.

This was a GREAT season, and that was an epic national championship game. A real slugfest for three quarters. But this was the one game where we couldn't finish. Disappointing, but we will come back from this and be better for it next year. GO TIGERS!!
