I'd like to say I approached him and said, "Excuse me, sir. I noticed you're wearing a gamecock hoodie. I happen to be a Clemson alumnus and I would like to share my faith with you."

To which he says, "Aight."

Then I start with the four spiritual laws of college football. I explain how worshiping the spurrier banner leads to an eternity in ######. How trying to work toward a gamecoot winning program is futile. How only acknowledging Clemson as the one true South Carolina program is the only way. And, finally, asking him to accept Clemson allegiance as the path to true happiness.

I would like to report that he then ripped off that sakerlina hoodie and joined a multitude of former spurrier worshipers in burning all things sakerlina-related. Then donning the paw and doing the cadence count in blessed unison.

But I just passed him by and shook my head.

Opportunity lost, I guess.

He either thought that no one in Tenn would know who the coots were since he wasn't in SC, or it was the only warm thing he had to wear!!!

would be plenty to be proud of as a Clemson alumnus.

When the coots suck at football, what do they really have to be proud of? Can you name one thing?

Nor can I.
