from the Greenville News and TV news stories; place was packed. Didn't see it there then as I was about a 10 year old local kid. First one I saw there was the Bond film "Live and Let Die" a little later; wanted one of those boats bad.

I saw allot of "flicks" there and at the "Y" during my years. I should have been studying rather than killing time at the movies. I guess being young and stupid is part of growing up. Thank God it all turned out good!

students would turn any type of movie into a rollicking comedy with loud wisecracks, hooting and hollering. The first movie I saw there had me thinking: "My kind of place." lol

I worked there and then down at the Astro III from 1965 until I finished Clemson in 1973 ... saw a LOT of movies in those years.
