Did anyone else see the story about the SCHSL...

May 7, 2020, 9:36 AM

investigating video that appears to show Dutch Fork High School football players working-out despite the SCHSL's no practice mandate?

Apparently a tweet from the DFHS QB, which has since been deleted, contained the video showing the QB and several receivers participating in practice drills at the schools stadium. No coaches or staff were onsite at the time and the school has since stated this was not a school-authorized practice or work-out session.

I would have done the same thing at that age. We used to practice football & Basketball on our own every chance we got because we loved it. I can’t imagine being cramped up at that age, we called it leadership then.

We also worked with the younger players teaching them the plays and fundamentals we knew and most of the time guys that graduated a few years ahead of us played tackle football without pads using the team plays with us. Even more past basketball players ran games to 5 using plays from high school to help us learn and to have fun.

You have so much energy at that age, I’d kill for that energy painless again.

I played football and soccer in high school...

Ran track too.

The school AD, who was also the head football coach, wouldn't permit any other sports to start practicing until football season ended.

While that didn't really impact me, a bunch of my friends who played basketball and soccer routinely practiced on their own until football season ended. Had I not been playing football, I would have been right there with them.

I know for a fact that there's several more schools. Straight from the parents mouth and with their approval.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.
